“ISR’s core conviction is that the child is the most important part of a drowning prevention strategy.”

—JoAnn Barnett, ISR Senior Master Instructor, President & CEO of Infant Swimming Resource

About ISR

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the product of almost 60 years of continuous refinement in the area of aquatic survival instruction for infants and children. ISR’s mission is to transform your child into an "aquatic problem solver," equipped with the ability to self-rescue in any water depth. ISR skills significantly enhance your child's likelihood of surviving an aquatic emergency, even while fully clothed.

ISR believes pool fences, supervision, and pool alarms are important parts of a necessary multi-layered approach to drowning prevention. However, traditional lines of defense break down, and the over 4,000 drowning deaths per year bear a grim testament to the fact that traditional approaches are missing a key component: the child.

ISR’s core conviction is that the child is the most important part of a drowning prevention strategy. The more than 500,000 ISR graduates and over 1,000 documented survival stories are proof that children can save themselves.
